#ThisisReynoldsburg In The Community

Hi, Jared Marrero here with #ThisisReynoldsburg, giving an update on what #ThisisReynoldsburg has been doing since the posting of our mini Documentary Service Over Self. We've been hard at work collaborating with the community, dreaming up possible future content, and starting the #ThisisReynoldsburg Partner Program. Without further ado, here’s a behind the scenes looks at some of the things #ThisisReynoldsburg is currently working on.

Partnership With The YMCA

We’re excited to announce a growing partnership between #ThisisReynoldsburg and the YMCA. The announcement of the YMCA in Reynoldsburg came nearly two years ago,and has culminated in the construction of the Reynoldsburg YMCA near Hubor Park. Though the Y in Reynoldsburg isn’t due until December of 2019, the YMCA thought it would be of interest to share it’s vision of the future with Reynoldsburg Citizens. To bring video production costs down to absolutely zero, the YCMA is partnering with #ThisisReynoldsburg to create a series of videos which will release in the coming months. All of these videos will showcase how the Y is being constructed, what brought the Y to Reynoldsburg, what will be in the Reynoldsburg YMCA, and so much more. Stay tuned for more information on this wonderful community partnership, and look out for YMCA videos created by #ThisisReynoldsburg this summer!

Attendance of the Chamber of Commerce Networking Event and the Reynoldsburg Pickerington Rotary Club

To help us broaden our reach within the community, #ThisisReynoldsburg attended two community organization events which has led to many great conversations on the past, present, and future of #ThisisReynoldsburg. At the Reynoldsburg Pickerington Rotary Club, we presented the history of #ThisisReynoldsburg and how we were founded. At the Chamber of Commerce Networking Event, we established key relationships which we can build on in the coming weeks. Several businesses and organizations have commented on the upside of spreading the positive stories in the Reynoldsburg community, and we hope the partnerships created at these events bring our viewers great content.

Professional Podcast Studio Construction

Three weeks ago we debuted our first episode of the Reynoldsburg Update Podcast, where we talked with Barth Cotner on the future of #ThisisReynoldsburg. One aspect of that future is the construction of a professional podcast studio, in which #ThisisReynoldsburg will house the Reynoldsburg Update. Here, we will invite community leaders to talk about the Reynoldsburg community. Both positive and negative aspects of our communtiy will be brought to light, with conversations on how to improve our growing city. Expect new episodes of the Reynoldsburg Update podcast in the next few weeks!

(New Video) The Effect of Online Retail On Local Economies

A new video in a series titled “Reynoldsburg Explained” will be available for viewing Monday, May 20th. This video will go dive into the subject of online retail, and how store closures like the one of Lifeway on Taylor Park Drive, effect local economies like Reynoldbsurg. Andrew Bowsher, Reynoldsburg’s Director of Development, contributes to the story with key comments on the economics of local shopping. We can’t wait to share this video with the community, and look forward to releasing it Monday.
